Star Trackers

A star tracker is a portable tracking mount designed for astrophotography. The device matches the rotation of the Earth so you can take long exposure images of the night sky.

To properly track the stars as they move across the night sky, a star tracker must be polar aligned and balanced.

A star tracker is commonly used with a DSLR or mirrorless camera and lens, or even a small refractor telescope. Recent models now include dedicated smartphone apps to manage your imaging session, and even point to deep-sky objects in the night sky.

One of the best star trackers available today, is the Sky-Watcher Star Adventurer GTi, because it retains a small form factor while providing GoTo functionality.
